Hey guys, first post and first ever build so I really have no clue what i'm doing. I opted for a 1000x1500 machine, and I have everything put together for the most part. A separate issue I have is that the file for the plates, the holes on one side of the Z plate are larger than the others. Is this intentional? Anyway, I bought a TinyG and hooked everything up. Motor 4 seems to be bad. I've hooked it to 2 different motors and neither worked properly on it. The motor kinda just bounced back and forth a bit. I'm waiting to hear back whether Inventables will do a refund, so in the mean time I decided to hook up both Y motors to one motor mount on the board.

I'm having issues with that now. The right side of the machine seems to lag behind the left side, so neither side moves together very well. Also when I move the right side manually it moves independently of the left, so there seems to be some issue there. My X beams are not exactly square with the side plates so I'm assuming that's why its moving funny, any idea of what I can do to square it up a bit better?

Lots of questions and not all pertaining to electronics, but there it is. Thanks in advance!

Well I contacted inventables and they contacted the TinyG folks, and figured it was a bad board so they are going to replace it. Hopefully it'll be here soon so I can get busy again. The lag issue seems to be fixed also. I think I was a bit out of square, so I went around and tightened up a bit and it seems to be jogging a lot better now.

Still curious about the build files. If you look at the Z plate, the holes on the right side (I think it's the right) are larger than the left. Maybe I'm just retarded and don't know what I'm doing, but I couldn't figure out if it was on purpose or if it was an accident. If it was on purpose, then I've put my machine together wrong and I would be grateful if someone could splain it to me :)

yes, the larger holes are for the eccentric spacers that are used for tightening the rollers against the Vslot rails.
there are some excellent videos on assembling the ox, watch them! (in the ox thread, right! :)

That's what I thought at first but the eccentrics don't touch the plate. They sit in the spacer block. Plus the holes for the eccentrics on the side plates aren't that big.
