I'm running a blackbox x32 and an Interface, both with the latest firmware. I'm having two issues: 1. The touch sensitivity is very intermittent. Often when I touch a button (eg jogging) it doesn't register, or when it does, it's intermittent. If I hold the Interface in both hands it seems to improve the touch detection. It's not very convenient to have to keep picking the unit up just to get it to work. 2. It frequently fails to detect a USB stick. Half the time it doesn't detect it on boot, and rarely detects it during an unplug/plug event. I've tried the microSD card that was included in my 1010 kit with several different holders, as well as many other USB memory sticks I have. I've tried re-formatting said sticks and microSD card and re-copying the core files, and nothing seems to improve the USB detection. A full power-cycle of the Blackbox is about the only way I've been able to get it to work again. But if I have a job setup and the axes zeroed out, or I'm flipping a job over, having to power-cycle the system and losing registration is less than ideal!
I have experienced this same issue thinking it was EMI, etc and for the longest did not catch the "two handed improvement" until recently. Trying to diagnose has been so difficult because touch control was so hit and miss until figured this out. When mounted I would touch for the menus with one finger and was sporadic, when I would remove and hold two handed or when mounted I would hold it one handed to steady while tapping my index finger so I didn't have to look while tapping the button it worked ok and then tried that while maneuvering the menus and it helped. Seems something with the capacitive touch likes this slight connectivity between the frame and buttons.
