I have a new OpenBuilds Interface module connected to Blackbox 4X V2.10 on standard Lead 1010. All control functions are working as expected. Wi-Fi has never been connected. Wi-Fi icon is flashing green, not red. Can connect to INTERFACE 006800E on phone but nothing goes any further to finalize connection. See attached screenshot. Wi-Fi is 2.4G Unable to connect to 192.168.4.1. Reset interface. No change. Reset interface in Tools and Util. No change. I am missing something but I am unable to solve this issue. Can someone help me. Thanks. Lorne
1) Make sure your Interface Firmware is up to date (V1. 57) 2) Try a different phone 3) Make sure Interface is fully booted up and on the Jog Screen.
My firmware was up to date. I tried 4 different phones. The first 3 were Samsung and did not work. The 4th was an old One+ and voila, it connected and I got it set up okay. Note that you must reboot the interface before it will be fully functional. Thanks for your help. Lorne
Some Androids has a feature called "smart wifi" or something like that that switches data back to Mobile data when its on a Wifi that doesn't offer Internet access. The Interface is of course not a Internet connection, so that might be it, can be disabled in Settings Correct, as per Section 3 of docs:interface:wifi-setup [OpenBuilds Documentation]
Same issue here. It wont connect to wifi. It says that the wifi password is bad, but it's not. This may not work for everyone, but I changed my personal home wifi router 2.4GHz channel to "1" and it would connect.
I'm having the same problem, nothing else seems to be posted on this subject, so I enter here. I've tried to connect as per instructions, with no success. Firmware was updated via control (ver 1.57). I have a Samsung S8 and it shows the INTERFACE-000807,but connecting to it just says internet not available. The address to http://192.168.4.1 just times out. Maybe my router is blocking access, maybe the phone, but I would appreciate any advise to be able to resolve this. The icon for wifi is red INTERFACE-000807 192.168.4.1 and the status lit blinks green.
Or your phone may be disconnecting from the Interface AP because its local only network. Check for a feature like Smart Wifi or something that Samsung may call it where it will "try to always find best internet connection" or try a different phone
Try disconnecting your S8 from your mobile network. In other words you are forcing your phone to only deal with wifi. I suspect that the phone does not like the temporary interface wifi link so it goes off looking for something else. I tried so many different things that I don't recall what actually worked. I know that it was something simple like the above. Sorry I can't do better. I have a very good memory but it is quite short most days.
I want to thank you for the responses. I finally got it to work, with another phone, an apple. And I was able to get a Samsung Ipad to pull up the screen. My SSID and passphrase are so long it would time out before I could finish, but with a little help I got it to save. Just a note for anyone else having a problem make sure to update firmware, or it will not save and you have to do it again.
