about three years ago I bought the RED Shapeoko with the red stepoko control board It worked well then using Carbide software for both design and G Code. I recently went back to get the machine to do some work and Carbide no longer supports the RED board. To make long story short I need some insights as to whether I can use the Openbuilds black box 4 to replace the Sparkfun Stepoko board on my old Shapeoko 3. Any insights would be appreciated. I am posting this after an exhaustive search in many forums about this issue to no avail. I have contacted both Carbide and Sparkfun and neither was ANY help at all. Another reason as to why I am looking to use Openbuild board on my Shapeoko. Thanks in advance for any insights.
