Wanting to install a UPS in my system just to keep blackbox x32 powered up so steppers dont lose their holding abilty during short power blips, the spindle is powered thru a 220v vfd, I am not concerned with keeping spindle powered just the rest of the cnc router, we experience lots of short power blips here lasting just a few seconds allowing the stepper on the rotary to lose holding power and gravity rotate 10 to 20 degrees, which obviously causes a tad bit of a problem. what size UPS would you recommend?

    1000 or 1200va, 24v battery pack.
a lesser va will do the job, but will not last long (esp the 12v battery ones), and if power goes out for 3 minutes you will be short of options.
The PC will also need the UPS unless you are using a laptop or Interface.
