I am looking to build a machine that can drill in both horizontal and vertical axis. I am complete newbie never built anything before. Firstly is this supported by any of the software programs ( I kinda assume it should since some of them support up to 5 axis). Usage Case: It will be used to drill for connectors on MDF, some of them require drilling along the edge of the board. Each panel can have up to 30 holes, which makes it very time consuming hence the need for automation to improve the time and precision. Any ideas are welcome, I could look at buying a multiborer but they too expensive and very limited in what they can do compared to CNC.
