hello I currently have a vfd spindle and want to wire an OpenBuilds WorkBee CNC Eco Saver Laser Upgrade with PLH3D-6W-XF + laser as well. I would like to have a fixed wiring for the two tools and switch with a switch between the two in focus of either machining or laser. is it possible? I have watched the videos below My laser Engraving Laser Head - High Power CNC Laser | Opt Lasers documentation for lead and workbee laser OpenBuilds LEAD/WorkBee CNC Laser Upgrade Setup Guide My spindle Broche refroidi à l'eau 1.5 KW + inverseur VFD 220 V and for cablage 21 octobre 2020 – Blog PC-CNC So in the idea there would be that the son which is connected to the blackbox to the GND port which is connected to the switch with the choice of either the pin or the laser? Thank you for your help and advice
You can wire switches yes, unlike docs:blackbox:iot-and-laser [OpenBuilds Documentation] though, which both uses the PWM signal, you have two signals (PWM and 0-10v) You will need a DOUBLE POLE DOUBLE THROW switch Use one half as the PWM side, the other as the 0-10v (do not cross these signals, it will damage the BlackBox) wired such that throwing switch left connects VFD to the 0-10v, and throwing it right disconnects the VFD from the 0-10v, and connects the PWM to the Laser. Or you can wire two seperate switches
Thank you for your reply I forgot to say that the VFD pin will not power because I made a control panel and the pin is on a separate switch. this is the switch i bought, is it suitable? https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B073PWCJCP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 the switch wiring attached thank you
That switch is perfect, but the wiring is incorrect, that will direct the BlackBox PWM wiring between the VFD and Laser, of course the VFD wants 0-10v, not PWM - thus it won't work You should use both halves of the switch to keep the seperate signal voltages, seperated.
thank you for your answer, I have a doubt about your diagram because the ACM goes on the GND of the black box and on your diagram they are on the same side of the switch
I got it from your diagram. If ACM = GND it doesnt belong on the switch at all! Should be whatever the VFD terminal is that the 0-10v goes into, that one...
this is how my pin is wired Connection of the "VI" connector on VFD to BLACKBOX "0-10V". Connection of the "ACM" connector on the VFD to BLACKBOX "GND". I'm sorry but I'm very bad at electronics so my questions and questions may be absurd but I don't want to damage my VFD or my black box. thank you for your patience
