I had some old metal shelving brackets and a need for a place to store air tools and other small items. I also have an air compressor that takes up a lot of space. So, I made a shelving unit that will fit above and around the air compressor. These CNC machines sure come in handy. I measured the various dimensions needed and sort of guessed at the diameter of the tank. I got pretty close. Then I did a quick model in Fusion 360, eported the .dxf and opened it in Estlcam. Then, I disassembled my old table saw cross cut sled that has not been used in years, so I could salvage the plywood for the shelving. After entering the dimensions into Estlcam, I let the magic happen. Quick video to show the process:
True. Also, if I didn't have a CNC, I would have room in my garage and I would not need shelves everywhere I can fit them.
