I have the openbuilts blackbox, on it theres 3 ports for limit switches, I want to put limit switchs on all the axis, x-y-z thats total of 6 switches how can I wire all 6 switches step by step on doing that thanks
so on the l/s when the z axis touchs the switch the switch should be set to what ? no or nc ? on the b/b where you plug in the connector for the l/s it reads gnd,v+,sig, using two wires, blk, red, the red is +,blk is -,so on the l/s which wires gos where ?and on the plug which wire gos where ? sorry for all this very very new to cnc wiring
Easier option: Get 6x Xtension Limit Switch Kit They are labelled exacly like the blackbox, so no confusion. - Just wire V+ on the BlackBox, to V+ on the first switch and V+ on the second switch - Then wire SIG on the BlackBox, to SIG on the first switch and SIG on the second switch - Then wire GND on the BlackBox, to GND on the first switch and GND on the second switch That's why they exist, to make wiring easier for beginners - and avoid expensive short circuits in the process (; The other old switches kinda require you to know what you are doing. Other advantages of the Xtension limits - Easier mounting - Easier wiring - Built in RC EMI Noise filters to prevent false triggers / cleaner signals - Built in LED to help with troubleshooting - Work with default Grbl config, no config changes needed at all!
I DONT HAVE THE Xtension Limit SwitchHAVE OTHER ONES BUT GOING TO BUY THEM . IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO PUT L/S ON ALL AXIS ?THANK YOU FOR GREAT INFO NOW WHEN I TEST THE L/S i HAVE TO PUT in a code from the list in openbuilts control ?
