Introducing myself, Larry DeSoto New to CNC but come from an I/E and PLC and hobby woodworking back ground, maybe not the best at any one thing but can usually hold my own in a lot of things. Lol I am interested in acquiring the WorkBee 10 or the Lead 1010. Looking for advice / thoughts on both machines. 1: I like the extra clearance and Z travel on the WorkBee. 2: Do the additional wheels on the WorkBee make it that much better? 3: looks like it would be easy enough to add Z to the Lead machine Thanks for your input, Larry
I was leaning toward the WorkBee until I saw the High Z Mod on the Lead. I’ll have to study that some more. do the extra wheels on the WorkBee really help with rigidity or load ?
Not that much, the Lead is all round a better choice, easier to modify down the line, all standard modular parts, pretty much the flagship machine at this time
I love my Lead1010. It should have been my first CNC. I just ordered to High Z Mod - not that I need that much height but I do want more so I at least can use a thicker (stiffer) spoil board.
