Hi all, I recently bought/built a WorkBee 1510 for various projects including guitar building. Everything up to this point has cut fairly well but I ran a fret-slotting program for a guitar fretboard and it was totally inaccurate and did some weird cuts. The gcode is accurate and the tool should've dropped into predrilled holes and cut a straight line from hole to hole, but it totally missed most of the holes (and broke off the bit), and did some crooked lines, and every other fret seems to have started its cut in the wrong place and then corrected itself as it moved across. If it was the belt or wheel tension wouldn't this have happened at a specific distance each time, not at every other fret where the distance gets increasingly smaller? Im running it with the BlackBox and OpenBuilds CAM, and the code was generated in Fusion 360 just like all my other codes that have been fine. Gcode and Pictures attached.

Hi Alex, post processor installed. However, what effect might that have on the actual cutting process as the gcode is basically the same as before. I'm thinking I have a mechanical issue going on with the CNC itself. Maybe the wheels or belt or backlash or something, I just dont know what or why.
1) turn off machine/unplug router 2) Hold endmill in hand 3) Give it a wiggle, see what moves that isn't supposed to 4) Using tactile approach (fingers can detect movements tinier than the eye can) find whats loose all the way back to the source, and tighten what is loose. typically: - belt tension - grub screws on pulleys (add loctite) - wheel adjustment - loose screws
