x and y are doing the same thing. Belts have been tightened but motor is not moving when I try to jog it from the pc. I have attached a video and photo of x motor
Hi @Jake Borg - I've posted a link below that might help, but to give better advice we really need to know a bit more about your setup - where did you get the machine from, what controller and control software are you using? docs:blackbox:faq-identify-motor-coils [OpenBuilds Documentation] Alex.
I got it from ratrig Portugal controller blackbox with the software from this website. it's a 1510 build belt drive. I adjusted the power on the blackbox for x motor and seemed to work but i dont like the way it sounds not sure if it's supposed to be this noisy Y motors still dont move when I adjust their power
Ratrig are usually pretty good on support. Which instructions did you follow for wiring the motors? (colour coding is not standard) I helped someone recently who had got their machine from Ratrig, but followed the Openbuilds wiring instructions - turned out the colour coding on their motors was different, which is why I posted that link above. Alex.
il have a look at it when I'm back on the PC color wires are attached correctly but if motors color coding is not the same sounds like that could be the problem
I found the wiring diagram for the motors I was sent from what I can understand is the color codes are not the same for each coil pair as open builds video setup. My question now is how shall I switch them around to mimic the same setup with the y 2 motor inverted as in the video ?
