I guys – hope you can help and idiot from the Aussie Bush I am extremely excited with the WorkBee V2. I am waiting on parts so I can upgrade to V2.2. But I have to say after 3 weekend the instructions are not good. None of the profile is labelled. Hope you can help??? I keep reading the instructions and they make no sense and it appears I am missing parts???? 2.7 Spoiler Board Support Extrusions – Method 2. I want a deeper cutting profile. But I cannot understand the instructions. Instructions for V2.2 also provide no clue. Are they any photos?? I seem to have 2 profiles extra and missing a few Angle Corner things as the parts list only has 4. Yes, extremely excited, but getting a little worn out by the confusing instructions. I believe there is a 3rd method…. but I cannot find this Help
Hi Christian Thank you for asking I got the kit from the Maker Store Au in Melbourne. So far I have 2 different instruction manuals and I am looking at an old video from the US. Trying to make sense of different machines and different sizes. It is a mine field.
Well, if its a Workbee, have you checked out the manuals here.. Ooznest Learning Portal or on the openbuilds site?
I'm afraid that you need to be aware there are now several "versions" of the workbee around. If it is a version 2 kit the instructions @Christian James linked to should help. Ooznest describe 2 ways of mounting the spoilboard and some people get even more Z travel by fixing their spoilboard to their bench. In order to maintain the machine's rigidity it is a good idea to fix the cross members to the bench as well if you do that. Alex.
Hi Christian and Alex Thank you. The links to the manuals are great. I think I have V2.1. The Maker Store in Melbourne are sending me more parts to upgrade mine to V2.2...I think. I did nut it out late Sunday (Au Eastern Time). I used Method 2 to get more travel. I did read about screwing the WorkBee to the bench - thank you. A huge learning curve. I have now (yeah I am stupid) that I need an enclosure and a new bench. So I will have to save up, as I want to make it out of aluminium profile. Expensive down under... Thank you
