I am trying to adjust and calibrate the V-Wheels on my Workbee CNC Machine (Screw). But it is not possible for me to archieve an even result on all wheels. It also seems that the tightness oft the wheels varies depending on the postiion of the Gantry. Not much - but it is noticeable. Is this just because the Machine is new and it needs to "bed - in" or am i doing something wrong? I am pretty sure that the Machine is square - i checked it during assembly and i think that Ryan from Ooznest is cutting the Aluminium Extrusion with very high Precision. So i imagine if you line all up perfectly it isn't even possible to build the Machine not Square. I hope somebody can help me out!
Mace, since you've said that the variation is 'not much - but it is noticeable' it means that the difference in the spacing between one end and the other is very small, but still existing. Overall the machine is square but one degree, or so, out of square can cause the problem you've mentioned but will not be measurable with simple tools.
Slight tolerance differences over the length of the extrusion. Find the "low spot", adjust eccentrics there, and they will be fine over the "high spots" too. Don't overtighten, it causes more issues than it solves.
