I have a problem with the X limit showing triggered. Initially I had all three axis triggered. So after searching the forum I found $5 was showing 7 so i changed it to show 1, saved the configuration and re-booted the system.
Y and Z now ok X still shows triggered. I went through a process of elimination

Swapped X switch with Z switch. Still shows X as being triggered.
Checked the continuity of the wiring between the X connector and the connection to the blackbox. Everything is ok.
Swapped the X and Z connection at the controller X still shows triggered.

Even with the X triggered I am still able move al three axis X,Y and Z.
I must be missing something can someone advise

    $5 works as a bit-map:

    '7' inverts all 3 axes ('1 1 1' in binary for Z Y X),

    '1' inverts X only (' 0 0 1' in binary)

Sounds like you need to set $5 to '0'

I'm assuming you have a blackbox controller? Did you load a machine profile? Are you using Openbuilds Control?
    What is your $21 setting?

    Alex.

$5=7 (all switches normally open) or $5=0 (all switches NC). Any other values 1-6 inplies some mix of NC and NO mixed (unlikely)

Thanks Guys sorted it $5=0 like you said. Now sorting the calibration of the Axis X and Y calibrate with the wizard Z doesn't want to play ball. Will do it manually tomorrow.

Does the Z work correctly. Can only calibrate (dial out manufacturing tolerance) on an axis otherwise already perfect. Wiring, mechanical, acceleration and max rates, tramming and play all sorted first

Z works fine it just doesn't calibrate using the wizard i enter the value that is supposed to correct it for 50mm when I check its only moved 34mm

Then its stalling or similar, so

If in doubt set existing values for acceleration and max rate to half. Do mechanical inspection (forgot to tighten grubscrews on shafr coupler?)
Steps per mm +-200 for our leadscrews
