Hello. What would cause my x axis to quit working? I have checked all connections closely... It was working fine and then started doing like it is in attached video. thanks!
The video shows only 3 of the 4 wires making good contact. If its not the connectors, it could be a wiring break inside the cables: See docs:blackbox:faq-identify-motor-coils [OpenBuilds Documentation]
You are correct. The connection where the wire goes into black box terminal was apparently not making good contact. I haven’t come up with a good reliable way to connect to those screw in terminals. Is there a correct way to connect?
Are you sure you open the terminal before inserting the wire? If not, you can insert the wire under the cage its supposed to be inside of. Take a connector in hand, play with the screw and see how it functions. Then make sure to insert the wires into the cage, tighten properly, and it should be good for years to come See
