I have a Workbee 1510 that I bought about a month ago. It is belt driven. When I am in the middle of a project it ends up slipping And being off ruining the job. Also when I set the zero it is never accurate returning to zero. Can somebody please tell me if there is something I can do to correct this? Or should I convert it to lead screw driven on the x-Axis. If so what exact parts would I need to convert it?
Double check your set screws on the x motor pulley. Make sure they haven't come loose and that they are on the flat side of the shaft. Also make sure your belt is tensioned correctly. I have a 1510 with belts on the X and its been working great. The only mod I did on the X gantry was to zip tie the ends of the belt. Figure out the issue and you'll be okay with the belt setup.
