Ok I broke down and bought a Openbuilds XYZ probe but when I try and use it with the controller it always says no probe attached or something like that. I've read a few different questions here on the forms but not one related to my issue. I'm guessing it needs to be setup in the Grbl first ?? (programed into the Blackbox) docs:xyzprobe:software-control [OpenBuilds Documentation]. I mean I'm guessing it has to be set up on my computer first and set into the Blackbox for the Openbuilds controller to recognize the probe? Thanks in advance
$6=1 in Grbl Settings (our default profiles)? Tested in Troubleshooting tab? Not a known error that one.. Exact screenshot of error (not just error code or error message - summed up or written out - no whole dialog that shows code, message, last sent command all forms a picture together) would be better though ... For example if its "Probe fail. Probe did not contact the workpiece within the programmed travel for G38.2 and G38.4." - its more likely a calibration issue or wrong probe type selected in Probe wizard. But if its "Probe fail. The probe is not in the expected initial state before starting probe cycle, where G38.2 and G38.3 is not triggered and G38.4 and G38.5 is triggered" on a G38x command for example, its none of the above, but a short somewhere in your system between AC Earth and DC GND (seperate domains) for example. The specifics of the errors messages do count, at least if you want us to guess right on the first try otherwise, its a shot in the dark
See wasm't even my guess That one means you skipped the Interface Documentation - Section 3.2 PREPARE THE USB FLASH DRIVE docs:interface:wifi-setup-nextgen [OpenBuilds Documentation]
Ok It worked So do I have to keep all those files on the USB or can I just keep the probe file on the USB I already have problems reading it as it is LOL
You can delete the Profiles, but the Probe files needs to be present on all USBs you intend to have inserted when doing Probing work
