Hi all, I'm trying to get the xPRO Controller to run using LabView. I need to use LabView for the project which is making measurements on an optical bench. Just wondering if anyone here has used LabView to communicate with the xPRO and would be willing to share their experience? Thanks.
Bump? Anyone??? Please??? I've downloaded the drivers for the Ft232 UART chip used on the XPro. It responds to the ? command to obtain the current position. And when I send motion commands, such as Z20, the motor stiffens and I see a drive pulse on my oscilloscope, but it is not rotating. The $$ command doesn't return the config list as expected. So, I'm a bit at a loss. The Baud rate, Stop Bits, Flow Control etc are set correctly. Communication is kinda working. But there is something wrong that I do not understand. Again, any help is much appreciated. TMWNU
My guess is the trim pots need adjusting but I don't have any experience with this board... Might want to shoot out a email over here: http://www.spark-concepts.com/cnc-xpro-controller-v2/ I believe this is the fellow who created this board... Hope this helps... Gerald
Hi Gerald, Thanks for the reply. I tried the current adjustment pot for the motor axis (I'm only using the Z at the moment) and also different values for the pulse width/step, although without the ability to read back the value, I'm not certain that anything changed. I've sent a message to the Spark-Concepts webpage as you suggested. Thanks. Hopefully I'll hear something back soon. I'll post the solution here if and when I find it! Alan.
