I've got a C beam with the cnc pro v3 board and have finally started using the chillipepper software I noticed that there was an auto set for the zaxis and want to make my own zaxis plate is this just a case of soldering a wire to a copper plate and one to a Croc clip, then wiring up to the xpro or is there something else I would need to make my own. That would work. Here in this post in the video is one like you describe made for the xpro V2. https://openbuilds.com/threads/cnc-xpro-driver.487/page-14#post-29046 This is my new favorite way. I clip the ground alligator clip to my endmill and the other to the tape. It works great.
