So I just got my machine up and going and I wanted to test out the xyz probe. It looks like the light comes on even when the probe isint touching the bit, could it be a grounding issue?

Also I should mention I'm using the Blackbox and the openbuilds interface

    Almost certainly yes

Disconnect that upside-down Z axis switch as a first test - if the issue goes away, flip the switch around so the bottom is on the rubber spacer - screw head could be grounding the Z axis - passing ground through the z axis to the spindle.

If that wasn't it: See XYZ Probe Plus with VFDs and other ground-loop inducing components
