I purchased the Workbee 1010 Lead Screw. I'm using V-Carve pro to create my Gcode files. I've made a 50 star union file and when I run the program, my Y axis's don't move together. I've checked all the wiring to make sure i don't have a short. All connections are solid. How do I get everything synced up?
Things will inherently be synced up, that's the nature of the electronics. One side lagging can be caused by looseness in the system or drag in the axis. Check the set screws on the flex coupler and the mounting screws on the lead screw nut blocks. Looseness here can cause the axis to appear to lag. Also check for any lengthwise play in the lead screw caused by not having the lock collars snugged up tight at both ends. The other possibility is overly tightened eccentrics on the wheels or an overly tightened anti-backlash set screw on the lead screw nut block. These can cause drag that causes one side to move differently.
Checked the lead screws and the coupler mounting screws came loose. Tightened all up and good to go. Thanks
All my couplings are "clamp" type - rather than the" grub screw onto the motor shaft " type. Mine have never come loose on my CNC or on any of my 3D printers.
I replaced my 3mm grub screws with a longer 3mm socket cap screw. If I strip the head, I can still get it out with a vice grip. I also drilled into the lead screw and tapped it as well. It is probably overkill.
