Once i power up the unit, the y axis lock right up and I cant jog it or turn it by hand. X and Z work fine under power. What am I missing
You haven't given us enough info to answer your question, but please DON'T spin any stepper motors by hand unless you have A) turned the power off, B) disconnected the stepper from the controller - the back emf from spinning the motor can damage your stepper drivers. What controller are you using, and if its a grbl controller what are your grbl settings? Alex.
I am using the Nema 23. I have a balck box with the 24 volt power supply on a c beam machine. Now the embarassing part. I just powered it back up to get the settings and everything works in jog. It might be fine now. Thank you for the quick reply
