I am curious what I might need to do for a Z axis that is not travelling downward as I am have assigned it to. The material is 12mm thick (plywood) and axis is behaving like it won't drop. It will return to Z axis point zero, but in the cut wont dive and cut.

It manually jogs just fine, but in operation it kinda just hovers over the area and Z axis movement isn't accurate.

I appreciate the interaction I have seen in the forum. It really does help.

G-code seems OK, so machine doesn't do what you told it to.
    Can you jog below Z0?

    Alex.

calibrated? use the wizard in CONTROL

max rates and accelerations? if these are too high motors will make strange noises and will not go where intended, a symptom will be when 0 shifts.

homed? absolutely critical to home before doing anything else, everytime the machine is used.

I need to calibrate the machine and home it. I'll follow that down. Thank you!
