Actually, I have been working on this machine for over 15 years.
The machine is made entirely of square steel tubing. And after I had welded it completely, the machine was fully post-treated at IHC Kinderdijk. The machine was treated in a special oven to remove all welding stresses. After that, it was mounted on a very large milling machine to mill everything flat and square.
I have also modified the machine a few times.
First I had a Kress milling motor, later I modified my z-axis, because I had bought a water-cooled Chinese milling motor.
ook had ik 20+ jaar geleden Drylin geleidingen gebruikt ( iets anders betaalbaars was toen nog niet te koop) Maar laatst heb ik me Z-as weer veranderd, omdat ik meer lengte in me Z-as wilde, en toen heb ik die drylin geleidingen ook gelijk vervangen.
I think a machine like this is actually never finished? I don't know how much longer I can keep working with Mach 3?

I've been doing this for over 20 years. So it's hard not to describe it short.
