I ordered the OpenBuilds MiniMill from the OpenBuilds Parts Store http://openbuildspartstore.com/ They were out of Motors and Electronics when I ordered so I had to source these items elsewhere. But it turned out well doing it this way.

Special Notes
Some screws stripped with little torque during the build process and I had to request new screws. It seemed to be when putting screws through the bearings with washers inside. These must have cause the aluminum screws to get stripped easily. I would be extra careful when putting screws through bearings that include a washer in the middle.
I also noticed that the lower left tap of each extruded aluminum piece wasn't tapped the same distance as the other tapped holes.
Over all this was a solid build.

Reason for this Build
Wife and myself had an Epilog Zing 24 Epilog Zing Laser Engraver and Cutter Machines years ago and really enjoyed making crafts for sale on Etsy Etsy.com | Shop for anything from creative people everywhere. We sold the laser machine when we moved to San Francisco and now that we are back in Arizona in our home we wanted to do something similar again. But we felt limited with the laser. Having a CNC gives us more freedom. While the laser is much faster at engraving and cutting certain material. We feel the OpenBuilds MiniMill is the right choice for us to start making crafts again. -
