Gauthali V2.0 DIY 3D printer

This is based on core XY kinematics. First of all, we designed a CAD model. Most of the required parts are designed by us in solidworks software, and some parts are downloaded from a web platform ‘grabcad’. After that we assembled those parts and inspected them in solidworks. The designed CAD models are frame of 470mmX392mmX545mm SBR linear guide rod, linear guide holder, lead screw, motor mounts, pulley, bed mount, idler block, timing belt clamper.

Reason for this Build
In our makerspace we have an industrial grade printer named ‘Tiertime Up300’. Which has a mechanical feature different from our previously built DIY printer. We researched about that mechanical feature. Came up with a question, “How does it work?”. After some research we got the answer that such mechanical features are known as core XY systems. But Tiertime Up300 does not have exact CoreXY kinematics. It just has a similar kinematics to coreXY. According to available resources in our makerspace it seems that we can also build that system. So, we came up with a plan to upgrade Gauthali V1.0 into a core xy 3D printer named ‘Gauthali V2.0’. Besides that we chose core xy mechanism due to its advanced features like high accuracy and faster printing speed.Inspired by
