I made one machine last year. Made it from begining to the end. I designed machine, designed electronics, made PCB-s. I made construction. There were a lot of welding, and grinder usage.

Working area is 850x450. It works fine but I used 2KW transformer and electronics is too heavy so I am making another electronic and another CNC. I think that I will use same concept for mechanical parts.
New electronics is much much lighter and better I used DM556 drivers but with my modifications and I tested some old steppers and made them to rotate on 6000rpm max.
