This is the prototype of my printer using the new c-beam. It is being developed for an after school / summer camp program for kids. Eventually it will have clip on panels to add an artistic flair. STEAM is STEM education without leaving out the Art!
All of the electronics are housed in the base and the wiring is routed down the channels of the c-beam. The wires are contained by the slot covers and go through the base plate. The bottom end of the C-Beam was modified slightly with a dremel to create slots for the wiring to go through. This is all done to contain as much of the loose wiring as possible, hopefully keeping it safer for kids.
