Thanks for the link.. It do look like quite hard to find a pignon with set screw already in place. I will let you know too. And perhaps look at Robotdigg, i remember they had heatsink for nema17.. And they start to go nema23.. perhaps.
hi I do see a post about you are using the nema23 of 570oz. Are you also using a rack and pignon setup ? I wonder about the pignon gear currently and what size for the shaft... Thanks * also, for the nema driving hot, is there any current level adjustment on the board ? JF

The pinion will need two holes drilled and tapped for set screws, and the racks will need some trimming to be flush and requires the use of 5010 extrusion for the x axis as well as the y axis.
For current adjustment there is only very minor adjustment on the board short of reducing amps going to the motors at the downside of reducing torque, but as for hot it's not so hot the motors are at risk it's just I'm planning on running them for 8 hour days and want to extend the lifespan of the motors as much as possible.
