Thanks Mark. It would not have been possible without you.

The shields and the tray where kind of a requirement. I did a test cut in acrylic and there was chips in a 20ft radius around the machine.

Hi, Really interesting build. Looking forward to hear more about it.
I am curious about the 3D edge finder. I have been looking for a good way to zero in my machine. I have a Smoothieboard which has an input for a touch sensor.
Could you share that design and pictures?
    Thanks
    Bert

I am really impressed with this build, especially the increased z height. Do you have a complete BOM, especially for the modifications you made?
    Thanks!

As a side note, Sorry for the comm. black out. 2016 has not been a good year for the family.
I was finally able to take mental break and work on a couple project that has stacked up.

I used this > BBB_DB25_26, Xylotex Online Store

But I'd had to do this project over again- I'd use something else or made my own cape. I ran into a lot of issues with that cape.

Yes. The baseline (obviously is the C-Beam machine). The changes where some of the plates and the length of the Y Axis. And having the Z Axis flipped for better clearance. But now Openbuilders offers a nicer thicker plate which could be used in place of my custom plate. The Misumi bed, DW618 and the High Torque Steppers.

I'll do a proper BOM shortly. But the info above should get you started. I'll also upload the step file of the machine.

@Mark Carew The original prototype was made with the Hog. Then I had a friend with a couple HAAS make the three in the picture.

@EvanBruner It threads into the stock DW618 spindle and it accepts ER20 collets and Nut.

Have you done any runout reading for the extension? I'd really like to move to the er system but I'm worried about runout. Thanks!

I have not measure the RO. But it's been cutting perfectly.

MIC6 Mini Pallet. Super flat. Super Stiff. It will have a built-in touch off probe.
