I could use some advice here. Symptoms are, during an Y-axis move say, g1 x1 (inch), will work just fine,
a second g1 x1 move will also work fine. But a reversal to g1 x-1 will result in a very brief pause during
the move. On each reversal (either direction) the pause occurs. There is no chattering (like it has hit an
end stop) or other unusual noise that I can here. It results in about 1/8" backlash.

The machine is a SolSylva 25" x 25" that I just recently put together. The axis this is occurring on is
driven by a single Nema 23 (2amp) stepper to 2 lead screws via belt/pulley. The problem is not happening on the other 2 axis.

I have tried a bunch of things. Here's some of them, most had no effect.
The axis has 25" of travel verified that it happens along the whole track.
Released the lead screws and manually moved the gantry to check for resistence and racking.
Loosened up the tension bearings on the rails.
Reconnected the lead screws and manually moved the gantry using the belt, checking for resistance and slack.
I have lowered the speed and got some inconsitent results. At around 100mm/min the pause appeared to disappear,
    but not all the time.
    Tried increasing accelleration.

My next thought was to increase amperage to the stepper, but it's a 2amp motor and the driver vref is at 1v,
so I'd be overdriving it and I'm not sure if it would help or not. Or maybe getting a stronger stepper, I don't know.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

It looks like I might have found my problem. I adjusted the 2 lead screw bearing brackets, and first tests seems to be working.
