Feeds & Speeds: setting new records? Materials: Whatever it needs? Good day everyone. I'm curious what would be the best design setup for a 5'x10' or 2mx3m cnc? I haven't seen anyone build anything that big. What would be the best? For precision and accuracy? Avoiding deflection? Longevity? Radial loaded wheels? Rack and pinion? Blackbox or something better? What would you think if the top 2 designs were built and the winners of the best 2 design were paid? What would be a fair prize for the winners of such a collaborative design contest? If it were a community effort, what would be an incentive for that? Off the shelf hardware. Swap out the router and spillboard for a plasma or 3k-5k laser? Run by a newer Lenovo laptop. Thoughts?
