Hello, I want to build the OX cnc 1500mm*3000 with rack and pinion belt method , to cut and curve wood , my Question is : Is the machine with this method will be stable and accurate for this purpose , Any extra tip would be welcome ! Thank you Yosef
Hi Yosef That's quite a big CNC bed you're talking about there. Whilst rack & pinion, and belt are stable methods of driving CNCs, a table of that size will be making huge demands on stability. The chassis so to speak, for a machine of this size would have too be very substantial if you are to keep accuracy and stability, almost industrial in manufacture. Likewise, it would depend on what materials you intend to cut etc on this CNC, and would also have a bearing on the demands being made. Still I guess it can, and has been done, but I imagine, it would incur considerable cost. Perhaps some of the other Guys here will be able to advise better, as well as suggesting alternatives.
