    Hi,

    First,
I noticed that some of the latest low profile M5 hex head bolts' socket, which I got in my CNC MINI Mill build kit are not as (consistently) deep as previous ones I have purchased from OpenBuilds. Some (Not All) were more shallow by some .2 MMs

    Second,
The C-Beam end blocks 5MM low profile bolt hole reliefs are not always as large a diameter as the 5MM low profile bolt heads.

Together these two things did cause an issue with one screw on my build. But it was my fault for trying to make the one of the M5 bolt's head flush as the others were.

Maybe check your 5mm low profile bolt supplier?

I wrote a review for the workbee 1010 (open builds did not post), but I found the quality control of the bolts seriously lacking. I would say at least 50% of the bolts had irregular size holes, and would easily strip if you try to torque down on them.My own allen wrench helped a bit.

Bolts I had ordered from a few years back did not have this issue, so I suspect that open builds is looking for cheaper suppliers to increase profits. It's no surprise that all of the parts are from China to begin with, and China is not exactly known for its superior alloys or quality control.

Thank you for your feedback Troy. I experienced something similar here with the allens I was using being a bit undersized a fix is in the works on this and we are also looking into possible causes for inconsistencies in socket sizes on the screw heads.
Thank you again for letting us know so that we can ensure that every gets top quality parts for their builds.

I think button head screws would be a better solution.
