Well I have run into my first snag. Where to mount the limit switches/end stops. I am not seeing it in my instruction manual. Front or back of the Y axis, Left or Right on the X and left or right bottom of the Z axis (although I think I have this one figured out.
I just finished up my build and I have the Blackbox mounted in the back left side of the rear frame (for now, its in the path of a lot of dust). I mounted my x limit switch on the left side of the machine and the y on the front left as well. This limited the amount of wire I needed to use. In the latest build video's that are setting up the electronics for the BB, they mounted the switches differently but it will certainly help with the thought process for your build. Nice table build as well! Based on the photos you bought a good setup.

My workbee came from Ooznest in the UK, so this may be wrong for yours. My Y limit switch is back left, X limit right Z limit bottom of ☓ plate where end plate of Z axis hits it. Alex. PS that means "home" is back right up which I believe is the convention for cnc machines - no reason why you have to go with convention though!
Gene, maybe I build mine wrong so you probably want to ignore my post. Alex, I was under the impression the limit switches were set/installed at the 0,0,0 "home" position. If so facing the machine the motors are in the back and left side, and my 0,0,0 axis's are in the front left of the machine. Do you think I did this wrong then? (sorry Gene for "hi-jacking your thread)
My only experience is with the Ooznest workbee with a Duet controller which behaves a bit differently from "standard" grbl based machines so the short answer is I don't know. If it works does it matter? You'll be running jobs in workplace co-ordinates anyway. My machine "homes" to ☓ Y Z maximum so ☓0, Y0 is front left - the same as yours. Alex.
It doesnt matter. I prefer to have mine in lower left because that's how mill is. I dont want to have to remember what machine I'm on. Others prefer to have them in the back so you dont have to move the spindle out of the way after you home. Do what you want. Its all configurable in software
