This is our first CNC project is based on OX CNC. We show you some pictures about our progress. We finished assembly design, software test and drivers test, now we are building the machine.

This is the story of my progression from the JGRO cnc router design to using the OpenBuild system. In the process I think I have learned some things about cnc routers and the accuracy required to make a good build.

This is where I will share my attempt at building a slightly "beefier" OpenBuilds OX CNC Machine using commonly available parts in the spirit of OPENBUILDS and Open Source in general. My first Build with V-slot

Just an easy build .... uncomplicated.... simple tools .... but hoping for a good result!

This is my first cnc build, never used one before and don't know too much besides what i've read a little bit about them online. It's probably going to be about 31" y axis with hopefully around 4ft x axis, z height is still to be determined.

I decided to use the open rail with the V wheels and not to go with the V Slot. (I'll let you know how it works out.)

Design of a multifunctional CNC machine.

Acquiring a CNC has been on my list for some time now. This concept is a bare bones, upgradeable machine that will not require a complete rebuild when new parts become available. With a cutting surface over 36" square, this beast should be capable of creating its own parts. Lowering the price to make upgrading and making this contraption beefier, faster, and more precise.

The Echinus Team change the Firmware from "Teacup" to "Marlin". I use this board in my 3D Printer and it works very good! So I write a short report.

ROUX is a 2'x4' CNC that can be easily handbuilt without an existing mill and removes the need to buy generic plates for the Routy. A simpler, more refined machine.

I have been looking for a good solid kit to build off of for some time and when I saw the Ox buildlog I knew I had to have one. Ordered most of the pieces from Open Builds and started planning. Had a nice gentleman named Chris cut the required plates from 6061 aluminum for me (he sells them on eBay now if you're interested) and got to work.
