Fixed Gantry CNC with good accuracy and rigidity but for a higher price than the usual CNC's on the site.

I really like the 4th axis I purchased a few years back, but when I went looking for it again the suppliers who once carried it no longer do. Anyone know who makes it? Center hole receives collets. I own a ShopSmith so I am using a 5/8th rod and can mount it's chucks onto this machine. Also I like the use of the skateboard wheels, they are adjustable and one could use more sets over a longer axis. The Sherline z-axis is not my first choice, I just had a spare.

To build a simple EggBot

An attempt is to be a Unified Modular Controller based on M10CUBE platform. For GRBLHAL and MARLINHAL applications. HAL porting is under way 1 - WIZnet Pico Clone W5100S-EVB-Pico 2 v- 6 X StepStick. Not sure about the sixth driver, (Pico pins limitation) . External connectors for larger drivers 3 - Opto - isolated spindle PWM. 4 - HMI 5 - I/O on diferent modules and Ethernet 10MBPS communication. Patches will be written to GRBLHAL for Ethernet I/Os (Interrupted).

The Mule is a 3-axis CNC inspired by the OX CNC by Mark Carew. This machine borrows the OX's sturdy frame and upgrades the X and Y linear actuators through the use of three 500mm lead screws (as opposed to the belt system of the OX). The result is an inexpensive, sturdy, and powerful design built for cutting tough materials such as aluminum.

My first custom build, using vslot rails for Z and Y and 8mm rails for X. Currently printing parts for this using my Prusa I3. The build volume will be roughly 300mm^3, X and Y are belt driven with 8mm acme lead screws for Z. Will be uploading more info shortly as i continue to build the printer.

Dove in and ordered the kit from Makerstore in Melbourne. While awaiting for the order watched videos and sourced steppers and controllers from China. Had some fun with the 4 axis TB6600 controller board. Ran into a few problems with the build, but after stripping and restarting looks like I am on track.

I'm starting my first own build cnc machine which is inspired by routy and the ox. Were my goal was not to use the ox plates but use the standard plates available in the parts store for the design.

Building my first router and I choose the ooznest Ox since it looks to be the latest and greatest among routers.

My Controls box to run my Workbee 1510 That was retrofitted with Lead Screws as well as Lineal Bearings. The stock electrical configuration was not enough, so here are the Measures that I took to not only make this machine Run again, but to have fun with it, and make this system be able to run any CNC I run in the future with the installed microcontroller.

I added the steel to create a less flexible milling surface to make heavier cuts in aluminum. I can also do light steel cutting now as well. I wish OpenBuilds made a steel and rail version of these kits.

It all started after my prusa i3 build inspired me to experiment with resin 3D printers because I want to learn if they are worth it and if I can design my own printer.

Hello. I build this 600 by 600 printer and hope to share it. I plan to sell custom builds with my website in the middle of this yeahr while making all parts accesibble online for replacements and own builds. My plan was to build a better and more accessible big volume 3d-printer as cheap as possible. I got some inspiration of the ender creality 3, the crazy-Print xyz 300 and the veho 600 tronxy which was simply not relaible and satisfying overal.

20x26x28 inch Build Volume CoreXY. Unlike many builds, I've decoupled the XY movements from the Z-Axis lead screws to help prevent Wobble, will be using linear guide rails, and mains powered bed heater, and a bed that is Allowed to thermally grow. This build is JUST narrow enough to fit through a standard sized doorway.

This is my OX. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My OX is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.....

This is my first cnc router. I like the open builds concept. I bought parts when I had the money. It seems everytime i think i have all the parts, i find something I am missing. I have the demand to cut/etch tall pieces of material. For this reason, I have designed a machine with 500mm uprights with adjustable gantry height. This way I can raise/lower the sled and z-axis as needed. I've also chosen to use a linear C-channel assembly for the Z axis with the plate mounted to the gantry instead of the other way around. This will allow for maximum range of the z-axis. The parts list/BOM does not include motors/belts/pulleys or electronics.

This is a pure cbeam build to maximize envelope and rigidity. All the parts used are available from open builds.

Using the Routy290 build and an awful lot of help from puntoMX, this machine has been expanded in the X and Y axis. My first build, I'm learning a lot about all of this. I've had to disassemble parts of this thing many times due to forgetfulness, but that's ok. Also, I've forgotten to take constant pictures throughout the build.
