Hello. I build this 600 by 600 printer and hope to share it. This build uses drawer slides and thread rod to create foam wings and fuselages by passing a hot wire through the foam which makes very accurate shapes. I built a Radio Controlled SuperVC10 using foam but did have a cnc machine then so I had to make many templates to guide the hot wire. This inspired me to build a cnc hot wire cutter. Works really well and have made several RC models with it now

This laser is a beast. Designed by Jonathan Frost, and built with 45x45mm aluminum for ultimate rigidity. It has a 4'x3' bed with a pass through that can be utilized to cut full 8x4' sheets of plywood, and has a motorized bed. A slightly more than one half cubic meter 3D Printer using V Rails, V Rollers, "C" Rail, mounting plates, and a bunch of 3D printed brackets to provide strength and stability to the frame. This machine is controlled by a Mach3 BOB. I USED Nema 34 stepper motors and a 3kw, water cooled spindle. I’m in the process of adding a vacuum table with 4 zones. I have an X-carve so I use Easel to create G-code for the large machine. I’m currently looking for a way to stabilize the Y-axis. It wiggles a little, so I want to add another linear rail high on both sides.

A log of my "brain surgery" on a Cricut Expressions 2 to change the control board to something open so that I could cut what I wanted. The ESP32 GRBL board I used has bluetooth and WIFI built-in and was very easy to get working just the way I wanted.

The UltiBots CB3030 CNC uses C-Beam, V-Slot and an extruded aluminum T-Slot work table. This allows 6mm T-Nuts, step clamps and blocks to secure materials to the work surface. The all metal design makes the use of a mister possible.

i´ve designing this laser taking care of every part to be functional, This laser has Endstops mounts on the corners and the X axis both sides too. The corners has fasbelt tension knobs for easy operation. The laser mount has adjustable knob to manually rise or down the laser for focusing purpose. all the parts have been printed at 65% infill a 2 perimeter lines just to make the parts stronger. My second attempt at an affordable sewing machine embroidery add on. This one uses readily available electronics modules and 3D printable parts where possible.

I designed this 3D printer from scratch for my mechanical engineering capstone project. It's made for printing clay but should be able to print any paste material. The clay extruder system could be easily modified to work with almost any 3D printer. The printer is approximately the same size as an Ender 3.

Building the OB Lead 1515 was straight forward. The on-line OpenBuilds assembly videos were extremely clear and easy to follow. Initial build of this machine is with OpenBuilds BlackBox which simplified getting the electronics to work the first time. OpenBuilds staff are friendly and helpful.

OX Based CNC

This is an Openbuilds LEAD 1510, modified to supports a liquid cooled 1.5Kw spindle. The movements are made with lead screw on all three axes.

This is a remix of Marshal Peck's Voxel OX, with some design tweaks inspired by Makerparts and jjcolletta. It has a build area of 300mm X 300mm X 480mm, but is easily configured for just about any build area up to 500mm X 500mm X 750mm. I have used some laser cut acrylic plates and a couple of 3D printed parts in its construction, however it can be assembled using nothing but OpenBuilds parts with the exception of the heated bed and the Y axis carrier for the heated bed.

Functional real-world 3D printer build with RM2-2RS bearings in routed V grooves on phenolic resin rails (lab countertop scraps) and NSK 25mm linear rails/trucks.

The aim of this OpenBot build, was to make a 3d Printer that was easy to build with minimal tools and using of the shelve parts from Openbuilds.
