I have been working on this project for something like 3 years on and off, sometimes leaving it for a few months. Now I really want to finish it. For me, the mechanical part was the easy (though long) part because I get to use about 17 CNC machines and MasterCAM and I am a machinist. The hard part is the electronics part. Had a few problems getting Windows to communicate to the X5 Mini via the USB cable but found something on the Smoothie forum and got the machine moving.

I'm Brandoneous; hence, the BrandoneOuX, a cartesian CNC build. Large format (1000mm x 1000mm) but beefed-up to solidly augment the ability to cut Aluminum in addition to wood and other solid materials. As I am currently living in a rented apartment for an out-of-state job, my secondary challenge is to build a sound dampening enclosure that will function as a torsion box base, a sound dampening enclosure, and a dust containment system. Hi! This build is, or at least should be, a multipurpose box (mBOX). Due to limited space I want to build something that can serve multiple purposes such as 3d printing, 3d scan, plexiglass cutting and hopefully some milling too (both wood and metal). Switching between modes should involve switching heads and worksurface (change heatbed with a wood platform and viceversa). This project has been a steep learning curve in an unfamiliar area for me. It has been a very rewarding experience and has opened up so many more possibilities to pursue in the future.

i wanted to use both the ox and the C beam C beam for the gantry because its stronger i also made the gantry 20 mm higher so i can cut thinker material i will maybe later go to rack& pinion on the 1500 mm Y axes also instead of the V wheels i will maybe go to hiwin in the furture

My first ever build. Straight C-beam with tinyg controller a few do-dads and some make do choices. Non-metric length lead screws to save long lead time. Jog knobs to cover the extra length and also practical. My old Bosch Colt never had it so good. Build out work remains, wire dressing, drag chain, vacuum, permanent base, etc.

Please, look over my build and make any recommendations you can think of! I haven't figured out how long my arms need to be yet. Nor have I done any shopping around to find better prices...

This is my first CNC router build. I want to gain basic CNC building experience so I can go on to build other items such as a frosting or pancake printer.

Design Change - Version 2.0 has a smaller foot print, custom gantry supports, and front and back covers. I will use standard V-Slot for gantry supports leaving me enough travel to manufacture the customer supports with this machine when completed. then update to final build. I also plan to install the controller into the front cover and power supply into the back cover. Should be nice and tidy.

It all started after my prusa i3 build inspired me to experiment with resin 3D printers because I want to learn if they are worth it and if I can design my own printer.

This calculator work inside with a spezail count format - Fraction as Mantisse + Dezimal exponent .. in summ 9 Byte.

My first attempt at building a CNC style machine. Overall my plan is to use the PlanetCNC breakout board and software to run the machine from a dedicated laptop/tablet.

A table top version of the open build xl router kit set build. This use of c - beam and xl kit set was coupled with Mach 3 controller running on Dell opti -plex 755 and win 7 pro licence. A Dell opti-plex 755 empty case was used to house the controls and wiring , including the limit switch and emergency stop safety circuits

D-Bot with a Replicate controller.

Similar to C-Beam Machine build, but with inverted Y-axis assembly to shield drive screw. Integrated XZ gantry can be fixed to any solid surface. Build dimensions are 36" x 36" x 6".

Quack Ball is a game in which the objective is to knock down moving ducks. The ducks are protected by a barricade that moves at a very fast speed. The game can be played individually or by two or more players. Each round consists of a total of ten targets to shoot and each player will have four balls to shoot. Prior to beginning play, a player selects how many ducks, maximum four, the player will knock down continuously. If player fails games is over for that player.

The Story of the Scecina Memorial High School 1510 BUILD will unfold through a series of 10 minute Episodes. Built a 32"x40" ACRO Kit for my 10watt Endurance Laser. Put it in a stand alone clamshell cabinet, added a 340cfm 6" fan and variable speed switch for the fan. Using LIght Burn for my primary software. It seems to be work well.

I Like the Sphinx design thought I would attempt my first build. I wanted to build this and use Arduino controller with GRBL to be able to learn and understand my machine.

i would like to build a sturdy motorized photographic copy stand. i have hobbled together a hand crank version using a used umbrella pole but it is not suitable as it is awkward and wobbly.

I saw a video of some one pouring resin in a mold,so i did a little research, i bought some resin,and some molds and magnets all from Amazon, it took me several tries and a big mess but it finally finished. The first pour i poured a small batch to make a templet,i marked all the holes that needed drilling then i marked the underside of the mold where i wanted the magnets, next was making the pcs i needed

The Phoenix 3d Printer is a kit from Ez3D, a company based out of Colorado, started and backed by successful Kick-starter and IndieGogo campaigns. The Phoenix 3d Printer kit is currently backlogged 10 to 12 weeks which means quite a wait. I will be chronicling my experience with this kit as I get it done.

I wanted to put together a medium size router using PTFE slides from McMaster-Carr. I've had great experience with these slides in long term continuous motion operations in industrial environments.

This is my build of Niko's (gianakop) Egg Painter. Egg decorating is something many Christians do for Easter Sunday and the Easter (Paschal) Season that follows. This will be my initial use for the build, but also with minimal modification to be able to write/paint on other round objects like Christmas ornaments, coffee mugs, etc. Many people also decorate eggs for purely secular reasons.
