Building a printer that can fit inside and operate at ~200 C oven temperatures

Quack Ball is a game in which the objective is to knock down moving ducks. The ducks are protected by a barricade that moves at a very fast speed. The game can be played individually or by two or more players. Each round consists of a total of ten targets to shoot and each player will have four balls to shoot. Prior to beginning play, a player selects how many ducks, maximum four, the player will knock down continuously. If player fails games is over for that player.

Standard build with high Z using a Gauss probe instead of a router.

Epoxy dispenser, 2nd one, first one works great. Uses HMI to allow for operator to pull up files for different jobs. 9 prox sensors, Eot and home on all 3 axis. High quality nema23 motors with intergrated drives from applied motion. Uses programmable router for drives.

Toying around a concept. Inputs are welcome on whether to use lead screw or belt drive. My lead screw will be single start 500 mm lenght, 2 mm pitch and 2 mm lead. Nema 17 motors will be used. All veterans, suggestions please.

This will be my second CNC build but this time a proper CNC not a small desktop model that I played with for a while to learn Gcode, It was great but now its time to start playing with the big boys and girls.

So Instead of buying a CNC Router which can cost thousands of dollars I ventured on the quest to design and build my own. I have multiple parts to this series. Hopefully all of my information I share helps!

This box is made from tough aluminum with plastic boards, helps hold WiFi Routers, Modems, or/ Ethernet Switches! The aluminum can resist the heat produced by these electronics, and the weight of the electronics, also being light itself. This box is the thing you need to hold your electronic devices!

I have parts that are apparently not suited to a cnc router or a 3d printer. I am still trying to figure out what to make out of what I have,

I built the lathe as a dedicated rotary axis, but I soon realized I could have a back up CNC for very little expense.

At the moment this build is in progress, I will be updating the files as I finish the remainder of the machine. This machine is intended to be a multipurpose CNC, but a bit bigger than a desktop unit. The machine is scalable in the X and Y axis.

Future CNC router kit design

My TFE2 CNC Build. The TFE was much smaller and all of the gantry plates were 3D printed. Despite this it will happily machine aluminium without issue. So I decided to use that to make the TFE2 which will be all aluminium plates and much larger (1200x800mm machining area with roughly 140mm in Z so I can later add a rotary axis.)

It start out to be an upgrade of a CNC 3018-PRO but ended up being a full build

This items are so cool that they need to be together, so I decided to create brackets that connect both pieces together

I’m custom building a push table / cart for my cnc machines mostly out things I already had in my garage. Using a gray push utility cart as the main body and building around that.

This build is my version of the CBeam machine. I opted to NOT use the Gussets, and instead went for the 40, and 60 mil angle brackets to cut the price back a little further. I started with the smoothieboard but decided it was still "too new" and very much experimental. This build took me a few (2-3) days to complete. The CBeams and Lead-Screws really make building things faster since you don't have to clamor over belts.

My first attempt at building a CNC style machine. Overall my plan is to use the PlanetCNC breakout board and software to run the machine from a dedicated laptop/tablet.

Building a Phlat based CNC for MDF processing. Capacity of 48" x unlimited length.

Using basic standard components, beams, motors, belt drive on x and y, z is a screw. Using Grbl Panel on Windows 10. Really basic router, had trouble getting the controller to turn on the router and set speeds so it is currently wired to a power bar switch so it runs full speed and I just use the switch to turn it on and off. Just getting x, y and z control working properly for now and likely going to switch the router to my dremel 4000 using a 3d printed mounting bracket I got from thingiverse

A Journey on the WorkBee Build...

I have built four of these frames. The first pictured I have been using for maybe a year or two and bought the clamps. The last three I have made I have built my own clamps with openbuild parts. I am still working on the design. At present I use wedges to apply pressure to the side of the wood and block. I am working on a cam system to apply pressure. I just bought 8mm screws with Knobs for quicker adjustment. I will update the build when I make these improvements.

C-Beam XL upgraded with end-stops, E-stop, and cable chain. Running GRBL on Arduino Mega.

Built a 32"x40" ACRO Kit for my 10watt Endurance Laser. Put it in a stand alone clamshell cabinet, added a 340cfm 6" fan and variable speed switch for the fan. Using LIght Burn for my primary software. It seems to be work well.

Based on the WorkBee CNC, this is an oversized router built with a specific use-case in mind, for manufacutring beehives, and beehive components

X is 1000mm, Y is 1500 mm, Z is 1000mm. It Rotates 360 degrees and Tilt also can move 360 degrees. I also have a motor that controls the focus of the camera.

Stinger displays images in the air by using a single column of LEDs. Special computer code converts graphics to pixels; then, the pixels are send to the strings of LEDs, which with the help of of the motor's fast movement the most colorful are displayed on thin air.

The idea was to use materials from previuos failed projects into a succesful one. I have build this tiny but powerfull CNC machine mainly using the universal gantry plates for the X and Y axis. Also another innovative part is the fact that I assembled the Z gantry with 2 aluminum sections of 20X40 and one aluminum seccion of the 20X20. I used NEMA 17 stepper motors with GT2 pulleys. This was designed on Fusion360

This build will use 1/2 inch copper water pipe as the primary material for all structural parts. As of now my intent is a cartesian design drawing from a few popular printers. I'm going to use the least amount of printed parts as possible and locally source as much as I can. I have built an EMT-conduit core-xy printer in the past and while it worked out fine, I feel copper is easier to work, manufactured with more precision, still reasonably inexpensive and will look super cool!

I saw a video of some one pouring resin in a mold,so i did a little research, i bought some resin,and some molds and magnets all from Amazon, it took me several tries and a big mess but it finally finished. The first pour i poured a small batch to make a templet,i marked all the holes that needed drilling then i marked the underside of the mold where i wanted the magnets, next was making the pcs i needed

On the door, I was thinking of putting 4 brackets instead of two. We'll have two 21” doors

For a long time I had a project to buy a CNC, in time I have evaluated several possibilities. I chose the option of a pre-constructed and scalable machine according to my needs, with sufficient rigidity features to do work of average importance. The starting investment was important to take into account to allow changes from the open source domain.
