Ultimo is the ultimate multi tool for the person who's serious about prototyping new ideas. A Delta Robot frame supports 3d printing up to 450mm in diameter, a powerful CNC Mill, and 50 amp plasma cutter for processing steel plate. And that's just a start.....wait till you see some of the other attachments we are currently working on incorporating.

The C-Beam Prefab Untitled is designed as the cartesian compliment to the C-Beam XL. With the exception of requiring a couple more 1000mm C-Beams and lead screws, the build requires a minimum of additional parts. The primary intention of the build is to maximize the cutting envelope while still staying within the sweet spot for C-beam rigidity. This design can easily be modified and allows for further custom structural components to be cut with the initial build platform.

Stronger frame for Prusa i3 MK2 / MK2s / MK2.5 3D printer

This will showcase the build of my Rawcnc 1.5. A rigid cnc router from the Swedish company Rawcnc, featuring a rather cool linear motion system, rack & pinion and steel reinforced X-axis capable of milling aluminum.

My Machine is based on the OX CNC designed by Mark Carew as well as the ooznest kit, and it incorporates a bunch of my own details and revisions to increase performance and robustness. It has become way more beastly than I originally planned!

Designed from the ground up as a low cost, highly scalable delta printer. This printer has been built as small as carry on luggage size, up to an 18in wide print surface and is capable of larger. Approximate cost is low to mid $500 range start to finish, including electronics for a basic model.

Mechanically, a scaled up OX build (1500x1500). Electronically, GRBL on an Arduino and a gShield. From a software perspective, the focus is on useable open source software tool chains.

While building my OX AI I found myself with left over v slot and thought to myself, what do I need that I can build using them? I have completed some custom build 3d printers (i3 and delta style) and a cnc mill based on v-slot and c-beam. From the beginning the cnc was built to fit/change between router, 5w led laser module and plotter pen. While all three works great, the build is primarily focused on heavy duty milling and brings some disadvantages when it comes to laser - slow because of leadscrew motion system and not as powerful because of “only” led laser. That is why I have started this build of co2 laser machine.

I am building a Laser cutter based off Robert Hummel's Laser V design.

Arduino powered simple CNC system using GRBL firmware. Designed to give the most function using the very least number of parts at the lowest price.

A Cartesian printer using bushings for the Z axis instead of wheels or linear bearings. The design also synchronizes two Z axis screws with a timing belt for a level lift. The ratio of the drive pulley and Z axis pulleys produce .005 lift per full step on a 200 step motor, eliminating layer resolution "drift" caused by microstepping.

A log of my "brain surgery" on a Cricut Expressions 2 to change the control board to something open so that I could cut what I wanted. The ESP32 GRBL board I used has bluetooth and WIFI built-in and was very easy to get working just the way I wanted.

I got lucky enough to purchase aluminum extrusions and linear motion components (and nuts/bolts/etc) at scrap metal prices when a bunch of industrial automation equipment was decommissioned. The only problem is that the aluminum extrusions are not metric sizes... they are the 1.5"x3" 80/20 series. It has presented a few challenges but nothing too bad.

I creat a open source 3D Printer to print big things. Print size: 400x500x300 mm. You can download the Drawing in PDF and in Inventor 2013 format. The unwinding drawings are also included. I take some detail photos for a better understanding.

I started designing and ordering parts for this build back in Oct 2021. Unfortunately life got in the way and I had to sideline the project to deal with more important projects. I am now back working on this project full time. I originally was building a MPCNC on this torsion box platform I built but quickly realized how difficult it would be to produce anything with good accuracy. The TACIT RONIN CNC is a fully enclosed C-Beam platform intended for flood coolant cutting of Carbon Fiber and G10 composites.

This is a small CNC mill/router specifically for manufacture PCBs. This is based on the corexy gantry setup. The plan is to have a small, light self-contained machine that can be used and easily but away when it's job is done.

I'm currently working on the CNC control box, before doing any future work on the CNC Mountain Machine. I want the controller to be future proof and as professional as I can manage. I am planning to use stepper drivers, PSU's, a motor contactor unit to turn everything on, as well as a VFD and proximity limits switches. Each video will document the process and steps involved in researching, designing, planning and assembling a controller. I am not a natural electrician so learning as I go.

Then i decided to build my own laser, with some easier workflow and support for Windows 10. Since im still a student i have limited resources, so i will try too use scrap parts as much as possible. I will publish photos and updates during my build continously. Gladly taking advices from others.

We are a team representing private industry and public university all concerned about community. In the place i'm from we face problems related to prototyping industry, there's no accesibility to it, not because there is not machines to work with but the costs are really high if i want to make a single piece of any idea in order to develop a concept, our students get their degree but never were able to try any of the Hass or 3d systems machines available as it seems they need a PhD.

This is just a small project to get use to the OpenBuild products.

I built a custom delta using 3, 1000 mm long C-Beam® Linear Rails and 3 C-Beam Gantry Sets. I had the bottom and top plates water jetted ( for accuracy ) out of 1/2 inch aluminum, from a design that I did in Fusion 360.
