We want to present you the new design of the device which is Router Sled. The whole structure is made of aluminum elements and ensures good quality of the device. We used V-SLOT aluminum profiles and OpenBuilds accessories for the construction. The instructional video can be found on our YouTube channel (subtitles in English soon)

I built the original machine using plywood plates, and always intended to upgrade those parts to more durable ones. I decided to go with acetal as it's a lot easier to cut than aluminium. I used fusion 360 to model and rebuild the original machine. Once I have assembled everything and feel confident it all works I will release the plate designs here.

This is the story of my progression from the JGRO cnc router design to using the OpenBuild system. In the process I think I have learned some things about cnc routers and the accuracy required to make a good build.

Textile Drawing Machine is a drawing machine thought specifically to draw on textile. Unlike other CNC machine it's dimensions follow the standard textile dimensions (1500mm) and it's on wheels to allow to draw on an unlimited area. This is my first attempt at a CNC anything build

This is my first CNC router build, so I started with the OpenBuilds C-Beam Machine XLarge mechanical bundle, including four high torque stepper motors. I took my time with the mechanical build, sought and found some great help for my control system, and designed and built a custom cabinet to house everything.

Great bit of kit time will tell if it is up to the job

This slider uses an 500mm OpenBuilds C-beam and the design is such that the effective length of the slider is slightly less then twice the length of the C-Beam. It can be used both motorized or not.

The whole system is powered by 12V / DC power. Process it into Pellets or Granules to use it with your 3D Printer or Filament Extruder. Our self-developed steppermotor Controls allows you to optimally adjust Feedrate for your Situation. Forward, Backward and Stop is integrated for easy operation. The Speed can be continuously regulated via rotary switch.

This is a simple, yet rugged design, weighing only 6 lbs and with 13x13x14" volume with a 8x8x6" build area. While assembly is pretty simple, the small size and rigidity of the design make shipping assembled printers attractive.

A blend of modular aluminum and steel bracketry built to yield fine cuts in hardwood and aluminum. An open table with a shiftable pin-fixture concept will allow the operator to shift longer than Y-travel work-pieces, such as doors, along the Y-axis of the table. This machine has a 44" (X) by 24" (Y) by 8" (Z) travel with water cooled VFD spindle motor, t-slot ext work table, cable carriers, side guards n dual y drives. A System of 3d printed parts to use along with your projects aluminum extrusion to cut your pieces of v-slot to length manually.

The build is based on a 500mm C-Beam and the SeeMeCNC FlexVat. The C-Beam is both the linear motion and a structural element of the design. The frame that holds the 45 degree first surface mirror and the build vat can slide up and down the C-Beam to accommodate projectors with lenses at different elevations.

I'm building an OX CNC router. It will be the larger size of 750x 1000mm. This should give me a working area of about 22"x30".

I ran across the OX and knew it was the one I wanted to build. Some of the things I wanted to include was make it bigger and a little more solid than what the original plans called for. So here is where I am at so far. It will have a cutting area of 48" x 48". The waste board support frame will have more support rails. The Y axis will have (3) 20mm x 60mm rails instead of the original (2) that is called for. 1/4" aluminum OX plates. And a few more odds and ends.

This build is for a testing rig to use while testing out different controller boards and CAM software for milling and routing. It is in the early stages, planning is complete, parts are ordered. Awaiting parts delivery to start build. Please not the BOM only covers parts from the OpenBuilds part store. I will be posting the other required items very shortly.

This machine is a heavy duty, moving gantry style CNC router. It uses Teknic ClearPath servo motors driving ballscrews and linear rails. The machine has 36" x 48" x 19" of travel with about 7" of clearance below the gantry.

Hypothesis - Running CO2 laser tubes at high amperage may shoirten tube life in number of hours, but will be made up for by the increase in actual inches engraved/cut using the higher power.
