Hello. I build this 600 by 600 printer and hope to share it. I plan to sell custom builds with my website in the middle of this yeahr while making all parts accesibble online for replacements and own builds. My plan was to build a better and more accessible big volume 3d-printer as cheap as possible. I got some inspiration of the ender creality 3, the crazy-Print xyz 300 and the veho 600 tronxy which was simply not relaible and satisfying overal.

Cross-beam Cartesian 3d printer with dual master/slave lightweight fiberglass drive shafts, BMG style extruder with Bowden (Capricorn) tubing. Hot end is Creality Ender 3 style with two fans and BLTouch for autoleveling. Filament runout sensor is also included.

While mimicing the frame platform of the popular Crealiy CR-10 and Ender series, the Vulcan MAX overcomes design weaknesses in both printers. Chief improvements are a more stable, rigid mounting of the Z frame and Z gantry.

How to build an Independent Dual EXtruder (IDEX) 3D printer from OpenBuilds parts.

This will be my second CNC build but this time a proper CNC not a small desktop model that I played with for a while to learn Gcode, It was great but now its time to start playing with the big boys and girls.

Heavily upgrading my 1200x500 Shapeoko 2... ...er, wait, scratch that... Building an all new machine, roughly the same size, that should be more rigid than a Shapeoko 3!

I'm conducing guitar loudspeaker cabinet fabrication technique research (material type/thickness, mechanical joints, adhesives, etc) and how these relate to cabinet/speaker coupling and enclosure resonance with respect to psycho-acoustics. Basically, does one speaker cab sound better than another and why?

I could not "tram" the spindle to the table. I found that the V Rails could not accurately be adjusted so the Gantry was equal distance from the spoilboard in multiple places.

It can be made to fit shapeoko, ox cnc, workbee, xcarve, 6040, laguna,piranha, millright etc. with similar setup including Bosh, Makita , dewalt 611 routers or spindles.

I never thought owning a CNC machine was possible until I stumbled upon the Openbuilds site. After viewing numerous builds I was drawn to the Ox by Mark Carew but ultimately decided on a build of similar design, Halloumi by Savvas. It's a C-beam design driven by Nema 23 steppers with Acme lead screws. Like Savvas I will be fabricating temporary plates to get up and running then use the machine to mill the final plates. The material I'm using for the temp plates is solid surface (Avonite).

All metal frame 500mm bed Delta 3D printer

This my version of a large no corners cut Delta.

My Controls box to run my Workbee 1510 That was retrofitted with Lead Screws as well as Lineal Bearings. The stock electrical configuration was not enough, so here are the Measures that I took to not only make this machine Run again, but to have fun with it, and make this system be able to run any CNC I run in the future with the installed microcontroller.

The Rock n Roll is built on granite, is solid as a rock, and gathers no moss. This build provides a high degree of accuracy and repeatability. Built to be strong, use redundancy, and use long lever arms to average out imperfections in the equipment. Built to go fast and light. We will use a high speed spindle, large high voltage stepper motors and small cutting heads to overwhelm the forces produced at the cutting head.

The machine has met and exceeded my expectations on repeatability and accuracy. Cost was approx £600 including the Windows tablet.

A Miter Saw station built using a Dewalt Miter Saw Stand and V-Slot extrusions.

This box is made from tough aluminum with plastic boards, helps hold WiFi Routers, Modems, or/ Ethernet Switches! To begin the "Build" I have ordered a few parts from OpenBuilds to get started. They are arriving today; according to "tracking". I cant wait! Praise Jesus! This 85 yr old man is getting a "New " life. Hallelujah and amen. I have been working on this project for something like 3 years on and off, sometimes leaving it for a few months. Now I really want to finish it. For me, the mechanical part was the easy (though long) part because I get to use about 17 CNC machines and MasterCAM and I am a machinist. The hard part is the electronics part. Had a few problems getting Windows to communicate to the X5 Mini via the USB cable but found something on the Smoothie forum and got the machine moving.

I want to have a printer to support senior projects. Also working on supporting 3D printing needs in the local community.

i wanted to use both the ox and the C beam C beam for the gantry because its stronger i also made the gantry 20 mm higher so i can cut thinker material i will maybe later go to rack& pinion on the 1500 mm Y axes also instead of the V wheels i will maybe go to hiwin in the furture

Using criticall OpenBuilds components to upgrade the rigidity and reliability of an X-Carve 1000mm build.

This is a CNC Line Boring Machine for our cabinet shop. It drills the holes every 32 mm for the adjustable shelf pins in the cabinet side pieces. I chose this option over purchasing a multi-head boring machine that requires 11 drill bits - Left & Right hand twist - that also requires a lot of strength to plunge that many drill bits into the wood to be drilled.

Work in progress.. but nearing completion :)

The method used for tool position setting is a matter of personal choice but this is what I do.

The first criteria was portability, the second was cutting out a sheet of ply, the third was the ability to shape a foam surfboard blank, but the main criteria was a small budget.

I have constructed frame out of 1 1/2" square tubing. Have my Y aces mounted. and awaiting parts.

This build is to show what's possible as well with openBuilds! I use a single ArduinoMega and 5 separate stepper drivers (A4988). The LEDs are all NeoPixels. Collision 'detection' is all done within the code, so the endstops are only sensors I use in this build. I'm a self-employed video-artist and this is my first installation which just needs power and it runs (where I'm quite proud of). Normally my interactive installations take a long setup time, so this installation is a relief :)
